The Apple’s iPhone 5 is a highly anticipated smartphone which could come packed with HD and 4G technology . The new iPhone 5 will be pre-loaded with some spectacular specs like: video chat on 3G and 4G (no longer restricted to Wi-Fi only), face recognition and extreme downloading. Its dual core processors and graphic chips will provide higher video resolutions and image captures. Every time when we feel that technology could became stagnant, something new appears before us.

There is no 4G network in the existing iPhones which allows its competitors to score some points over Apple. Smartphones from AT&T would have a 4G network - which would be kick-started by 2011. Telecom giant, Sprint has already unveiled its next-gen network with 4G. At this moments of time Verizon has declared that it would come up with its 4G network which will not support the 4G data.

In the present scenario nobody can think of having 720p or 1080i HD video output from the iPhones. But since Apple has declared such plans we can expect High Definition video output from it in the recent future. Evo, a smartphone with Android OS of Sprint is having such HD output via HDMI.

It is one of the core essentials of a good smartphone which is missing from Apples present iPhones. It is one of that requirement which an iPhone user is demanding from the very beginning. A single swipe as a mode of identification is better than entering a password in the phone.

For this specific feature a lot of customer demands have been put forward. The iPhone users would like to have a mechanism for integrating Adobe Flash support into its Safari browser. But Apple has mentioned some obvious security and performance reasons for not providing flash content in iPhone. The company is planning for an another alternative of Flash called WebKit and HTML5.

The same history can be applied to even this upcoming fifth generation phone. iPhone 4 had forty percent enhanced talktime then iPhone 3GS. Accordingly something new in quality related to battery life can be expected from iPhone 5. Even there are some complaints from the customers side that the iPhone users themselves cannot replace their battery. We would have to wait for some more time to see that this problem will be rectified or not.

There were some more rumors saying that a radio frequency identification device would be a part of iPhone 5. It would be a type of bar code replacement device for allowing the phone to function as a payment device or a car key.

Apple has acquired a PA Semiconductor and there are also some myths which reveal that Apple is making its own CPUs. iPhone 4 included A4 processor that runs at 1GHz. As per one of the sources a dual-core processor with 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 cores will be deployed in iPhone 5.

In an Apple smartphone it is very difficult to install third party applications outside iTunes. For such an installation the user would have to make some internal changes in the basic configuration. Which can result into the violation of warranty as Apple authorities only selective entry into the appstore. The iPhone 5, should be able to run third party applications too.
